Information you choose to save

Birthday Command Center lets you save information that is useful for remembering birthdays and planning celebrations.

This can include names or labels, important dates, notes, memories, photos and information you add while using tools such as the Planner and Countdowns. Age Lab calculator entries are temporary for the current app session and are not saved, backed up or synced. Person-specific custom Age Phases settings are saved with your command-center data.

You choose how much information to add. Most features do not require a full legal name or other highly identifying information. Add notes, memories, photos and detailed celebration plans whenever they help you remember, organize or make an occasion feel personal.

How your information is stored

Birthday Command Center works without an account. When you stay logged out, saved records remain in your browser on that device and are not uploaded to Birthday Command Center.

You may optionally create an account or log in with email or Google to carry your command center across devices. Login is handled through Supabase authentication, with encrypted network connections and account-only access rules for synced records.

When you are logged in and online, saved command-center data syncs to your account. This includes birthdays, anniversaries, custom celebrations, personal countdowns and date ranges, planner details, notes, photos and person-specific custom Age Phases settings. Temporary Age Lab calculator entries stay in the current app session and are not sent to your account. Changes made on one device are automatically sent to the same account and other open devices periodically check for and receive the latest account copy. Offline edits remain on the device and are queued for synchronization when the connection returns. A conflict prompt appears only when both the device and account have changed independently since their last successful sync; otherwise the changed copy is handled automatically.

Local storage and backups

Browser storage normally persists between visits, but it can be lost if browser data is cleared, a device is replaced, a different browser or profile is used, or storage becomes unavailable.

Birthday Command Center provides backup and export tools so you can keep your own copy of information you want to preserve.

A downloaded backup is separate from the copy stored in your browser.

How Birthday Command Center uses your information

Information you enter is used to provide the features you choose to use.

For example, Birthday Command Center may use saved dates and details to calculate ages, show upcoming birthdays, create countdowns, organize celebration plans, display memories, prepare reminders and create exports.

Birthday Command Center does not sell the information you save in the app or use your command-center records to create targeted advertising profiles.

Photos, notes and celebration plans

Some Birthday Command Center features allow you to save richer information, such as photos, memories and detailed plans.

These features are part of the intended Birthday Command Center experience. You decide whether to use them and how much detail to include.

Notifications

If you enable browser notifications, your browser may display birthday, anniversary, countdown or Planner reminders.

A notification may include a name or event label. Depending on your device settings, notifications may also appear on your lock screen.

You can turn notifications off through your browser or device settings.

Birthday Command Center does not currently send email or SMS reminders.

Backups and exports

Birthday Command Center can create backups and other exports from information you have saved.

Exported files contain the information included in that particular export and exist separately from the app once downloaded.

If you send an exported file to someone else, they may be able to read the information contained in it.

External websites and services

Birthday Command Center may provide optional links or actions involving services such as calendars, maps, search engines, music services or other websites.

Calendar links and .ics files include the selected event details and a link to the relevant Birthday Command Center section. That link identifies the page only; it does not include a saved record ID or provide access to your records.

Your complete Birthday Command Center database is not automatically sent to these services. When you choose to use an external service, information included in that particular action may be sent to it, and the service handles that information according to its own privacy practices.

Technical information and hosting

Like other websites, Birthday Command Center relies on hosting and internet infrastructure to deliver the site.

The hosting provider may process ordinary technical information required to operate and protect the website, such as web requests, browser information, security information and diagnostic logs.

Optional account authentication and synced records are provided through Supabase. Google may process information needed for Google sign-in, and Supabase may process your email address, authentication session and synced command-center data. These services handle information according to their own privacy and security practices.

Advertising

Birthday Command Center does not currently display ads or load third-party advertising scripts. If advertising is added later, this policy will be updated to explain the relevant providers, data use and any consent choices before ads appear.

Security

Birthday Command Center uses a local-first approach and does not require an account. Optional account sync uses Supabase authentication, HTTPS connections and row-level access rules so a signed-in user can read or change only that user's synced record. This gives you a secure account option without making login mandatory.

Do not put passwords, payment information or other highly sensitive information into birthday notes. Someone with access to an unlocked device or browser profile may be able to access its local copy.

No security system is risk-free. Keep a JSON backup and use a unique password if you create an email account.

Your control over your information

You can stay logged out, use JSON export and import, edit or delete records, clear the copy on a device, log out, or delete your synced account data from the Account menu.

Clearing browser cookies and other site data removes the local copy, while a synced account copy remains until you delete it. Downloaded backups and exports are separate files and must be deleted separately if you no longer want them.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Birthday Command Center evolves.

The date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.

Contact form messages

If you use the Contact form, your email address, message category and message text, plus an optional name, are sent to FormSubmit so it can deliver the message to the developer. Your email address is used as the reply-to address. When this form is first used with an inbox, FormSubmit sends the inbox owner a confirmation request and holds submissions until the form is confirmed. FormSubmit retains submissions for 30 days. See its documentation and privacy terms for details. Do not include passwords, private birthday records or other sensitive information in a message.
